Living In A Vacuum

All communications today seem to be via texting or social media. This is an interesting development in the decline of humanity and the advance of dehumanization. There are a few exceptions. I had a nice correspondence by means of written letters at one time but I don't think anyone does that anymore. Email seems to be falling out of use. I'm living in a dystopian future, a kind of zombie world, but I've managed to avoid, so far, the transformation. I'd rather not be a zombie.

A lot of people seem to like it. I can't blame it all on vacation Bible schools, either. Korporate Kulture has a lot to do with it. Corporations are kind of like zombies, so in order to run, they need zombies to make it all happen.

Lots Of Rain!

The rain came down steadily all day yesterday, no great downpour but it was what you might call a "soaking" rain. Today we might get a bit of sunshine but rain chances and mild temperatures linger into late May. This is highly unusual, to say the least. Southeast, the weather has been severe. So far we've not had any of that.

I think some of these photos were taken July 4th. Years ago, and not in Lubbock.

Where Was I?

Time blurs memory, at least it blurs mine. I don't remember where I was when I took many of these photos. And so we might offer this question--Whirr Wuzz I?? And since my late wife was with me when I took most of these photos, we might ask Whirr whirr we?? Indeed!

Wet May?

It is shaping up to be a wet May with mild and even cool temperatures. That HAS to be an El Nino effect. That sort of weather at this time of year I have not seen in many a year. Normally dry and very hot, but this time we get something quite different. Not bad at all.

I am getting spectacular growth-- the jungle is doing well.

More Rain!

What terrific weather we are having now and it looks like a full week of rain chances, minus severe weather risks, and very comfortable temperatures. Yes, yes. Thank you Uri Geller, wherever you might be. Now would be a good time to pray for pizza. And beer!
