I think I deserve a rest, after getting so much done yesterday. It'll be a pleasant weekend, it seems. Very moderate temps, and light wind. Not much needing to be done.
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

Nice Days On The Way
We might actually have a full week of fairly pleasant weather! That'll be great. Get ready for that great pagan holiday, complete with giant rabbits bringing magical eggs. A fertility rite, obviously, and it's all very strange and confusing. Human sacrifice is an essential part of it, or at least the celebration of human sacrifice. The human brain can be a very disturbing thing.
I still have work to do. I'd like to do a human sacrifice with whoever coined the term "app". There ought to a stiff penalty for stupid shit like that. Computers run PROGRAMS. Say PROGRAM, not "app". Fuck "app". You can take your "app" and stick it up your "ass".

Wind And Dirt
Yesterday was one of those awful "Lubbock" days. Strong winds and flying dirt. Typical for the time of year but it's something I never get used to. I like to imagine that folks who have recently moved here, looking for ?? experience something like yesterday's dust storm and immediately regret the move and start looking to exit as soon as possible. It isn't just Lubbock. It's the entire area, the panhandle plains-- a backward, windswept, hellhole, if you ask me. And it really seems that this area is becoming more and more arid. Annual rainfall used to be pegged at about 18 inches, and it's trended down to about 16 inches and I'm sure it will only get worse as the climate changes.
The wells will go dry eventually, and probably sooner than anyone would like to believe. I think this area is living on hope and hot air.

Nice Enough This Morning
Thirty-four felony indictments! Conviction on only one would take him down for good. Possible violations of the Espionage Act, and lots of additional legal troubles ahead. Interesting. Meanwhile, it is cloudy and a little cool this morning and one can perhaps hope that the wind and dust today will not be as severe as forecast. There was a 40% chance of rain for one day this week but that was taken out pretty quickly. Rain chances are gone and those single digit dewpoints remain. I got more work done yesterday but today I think I'll mostly chill out. Tomorrow and Thursday I can hit it again.

A Lot More Big Wind
It's on the way. Lubbock prepares to eat shit for a few days, again. I sure hope nobody gave up dirt for Lent. Ha. It would not surprise me to find that the whole summer will be like this.
In that recent list of crappy places to live, I think Lubbock should have been closer to number one.
