It was windy and rather cold and cloudy yesterday but the norther was weak and today looks to be quite sunny. Not bad.
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

A Norther
Yes, a norther has hit, but not a very severe one and the weekend should be pretty good. It was great yesterday. I got to enjoy lots of time outdoors. Very slight chances of rain with this system. We need rain pretty badly, as usual. RAIN, and not snow or sleet or an ice storm, and rain without a barrage of hail. We should be so lucky. It's all a crap shoot, with the emphasis on crap. Does anybody read Kurt Vonnegut anymore? And in the news lately has been a suicide pact carried out by a family of conservative "Christians". I knew that sort of thing would happen because it is typical cult behavior. Cyanide laced Kool Aide would have been much more appropriate. They appear to have been pro-life, too. Go figure.
Cults are very dangerous, and some people are very susceptible. They don't know how to use critical thinking. They have no defenses.

It Is Not So Bad
Whatever "it" is. Sometimes, one wonders. And sometimes, one wanders. It looks to be a quite fine weekend this weekend, and Monday promises to be almost warm. After that it becomes more seasonal for a while. But so far the local forecast contains no Arctic Bum-blast.
It is nippy in the morning, however.

Warming Nicely!
But two days next week look like a little blip of winter crap and another one of those generational once-in-a-billion-year arctic bum blasts will hit New England soon. How many of these "rare" and "exceptional" events have we had in the past few years? Calling such events generational is stupid. They are no longer rare and no longer exceptional. Every effing winter sees at least one such event.
What I primarily care about is maintaining my own personal status quo. That's pretty much it. There are only a few people left I care about, and that number will not increase. If I had background music it would have to be Pink Floyd's "The Wall", and as far as I'm concerned I can NEVER have too many bricks in that wall. But I think more in terms of lead-lined reinforced concrete.
