 But very humid. Surely it will rain! Somewhere. Probably not here. 

In Lubbock it is very easy to avoid crowds. That's one of the very few good things this city has going for it. 

Very Pleasant Temperatures

 Relief from the recent heat wave is greatly appreciated. It's partly sunny today and almost cool. 

It's a real mixed bag this grand and glorious morning. Grand and glorious, but only in terms of the weather. And only in terms of the weather right here and right now. 

It's A Nice Little Norther

 Terrific to have a break in the heat! Feels good. 

I've had a very healthy diet for a long time, and I feel out of step now, too healthy for someone my age. I'm tempted to switch to fast food and work on a little heart disease. Of course, I won't stop exercising. Is it possible to have heart disease and still be ripped? I need to think about this. When I show my ID I get strange looks. And people don't believe me when I tell them how old I am. That could become a problem.

 It won't be cold but it'll be a change for the better. And it might even rain. So...

Of Nostalgia Have We More

 I thought once that I would retrace steps, revisiting old haunts, but that's not going to happen. Too depressing. The best I can do is take a different slant on places we visited in the past. I do acquire more new photos and maybe by the end of the summer I will have them ready for a breathless world. Not that I give a damn about the world outside of my little "half acre". My own tightly circumscribed ambit, that I alone inhabit. And so shall it be, now and forever.

I find it a good and fine thing to be near to the end of life.
