Well, I got some beer yesterday but Shiner Bock in cans I did not find, so I bought another brand and it was OK. But not great. Lots of time outside yesterday evening. This week I'll have a bit more work to do and I can knock off for the year. Enough has been done. I water a lot, since it no longer rains.
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

Closer Looks 16
Gee, this weekend might be Shiner Bock weather already! Unfortunately it'll be windy and that means the dust will be up. Beer will help with that, ha ha. I think I'll be outside a lot this weekend, dust or no dust.
Maintaining my own personal status quo is all I want to do. It's surprising sometimes, how much effort that takes. Fighting entropy every step of the way and cursing time's arrow.

Closer Looks 15
I'm just about finished with all the major projects around here, although I could do more, but that can be deferred to next year, if there is a next year for me. I certainly won't take anything for granted. I believe I will try growing some tomatoes this year. The cages are in place, so why not?
One day at a time. Sufficient unto the day, and all that good stuff. It won't be long and it will be Shiner Bock weather.

Closer Looks 14
No relief from the drought, none in sight. Mild weather here, but so very, very, dry.
Not to worry! The most numerous and dominant lifeforms on the planet (bacteria) continue to rule and prosper.

Closer Looks 13
The dust was up yesterday, the air was dry, and today there is a chill in the air. Maybe climate change will turn the southern tier of states into barren desert. That would be an appropriate fate for a moral, cultural, and intellectual wasteland. Wouldn't it? Not MY problem, in any case. There's a lot to be said for living in one's twilight years. Especially when the future looks so amazingly bleak. It's good, then, to not have much future to worry about. The past! Look to the past!
How green were my valleys then! Hey, the sunflowers are coming up again!
