Dead Sunflowers 1

A little change of scene here. These pictures fell out of my camera yesterday when I jiggled it to see if there was still something in there. Well, yes. I didn't remember these.

It seems that I also managed to get some photos of migratory birds, mainly ducks and geese, flying over the dead sunflowers. They will appear eventually. I'm having iced coffee at the moment.

Lubbock Sights 20

By gum, I got some more of those Lubbock sights in my camera this weekend! The weather improves but the wind remains high and the drought goes on. Way below average on rainfall. Dry dry dry.

 And such sights they are!

They are so wholesome and so humble.

Lubbock Sights 18

It was pretty cold yesterday morning and before long there were snow flurries. But after that the clouds broke up and it turned sunny. It was not as cold this morning as was forecast and it warms quickly, with abundant sunshine. Wind chills are still uncomfortable. The drought deepens.

And the BLEEP goes on.

Lubbock Sights 17

So it's cold and windy and there might be a few snow flurries. So far not so bad. Tomorrow we should be heading back out of this stuff, with clear skies and a definite warming trend. Sounds good to me.

I've decided to pair my link list at the bottom to various hard sciences. Better that way.
