Playing It Safe In New Braunfels

Something like 1000 covid deaths a day in the USA. That's a war casualty toll, and a war not going well. I imagine the folks insisting covid is a hoax and not taking precautions are responsible for a lot of this. Sacrificing their children on the Orange Asshole's altar. Notice how covid rages in the Dakotas, where freeDUMB is the top priority. You can be free to stand on the tracks and give an onrushing locomotive the finger. SPLAT!

Here's a locomotive!

Heavy metal.

New Braunfels in 2020

 I looked at various things.

Trains, in a way, were a big part of my New Braunfels experiences, back in the day. So I looked at trains.

Eventually I'll get to Landa Park.

More New Braunfels in 2020

I could not have asked for better weather.

Maybe next year??

One can hope. Too many uncertainties.

Train Time In New Braunfels

 Never underestimate a locomotive.

There's a lot of very interesting mechanical stuff going on under a train.

These things are still impressive, and they can't be replaced.

New Braunfels Time

Not necessarily a saner place than Lubbock but certainly more pleasant.

Rather appropriate, eh?

This is a typical old New Braunfels type house, fully restored.
This is a New Braunfels type root. We don't have roots like this around here.
This is a typical New Braunfels type hill. We don't have hills around here.

New Braunfels is a train town-- tracks run right through the heart of it.
