More Of Lubbock's Alley Vistas

Amazing things, right here in Lubbock, right here in the United States Of Jonestown! Yes! And you thought you lived in America. Well, it WAS America, but now it is Jonestown. Slurp up the poison. The DON commands it! And you dare not disobey.

At least this alley was probably a safe place to be. At least, there was nobody around me proclaiming that THE DON is God upon Earth, to be obeyed and followed and believed, without question, at all times! People like that are extremely dangerous. Once you've joined a cult, and let your brain get eaten, you're a human ticking time bomb. No telling what crazy shit you're likely to get up to.

Frankly, your God on Earth belongs in a straight jacket. In a high security ward for the criminally insane. Contained and restrained, like Hannibal Lecter. More of this nice, safe, sane, alley next time.

More Dramatic Alley Scenes

What is it that is so special about places like this!

Could it be-- this is where you find the utilities and infrastructure, such as these things are?

I do know, that in these alleys you find a lot of garbage. Plastic bags seem to be everywhere. I'm not finished with this particular alley.

Checking Out An Alley

Excursions like these are always quite interesting!

It would be nice if I could check out small towns around here again, but I don't think I'll ever be able to do that again. I have to be content with what I CAN do. Stuff like this is about the limit for me. And even then I'm dealing with sad memories.

Of course, this alley runs behind an old commercial strip. And there is not much of that left. So, I'll continue this next time.

Continuing Recent Lubbock

Some severe storms last night, appropriate for the date, here in Lubbock, but no tornado. Just lots of much needed rain. And, as I expected, Putin's Russia is in second spot on the infection tally, trailing the USA but on track to catch up and perhaps exceed our cases.

Soon we will be in another interesting alley, where I took many photos.

Ah! We have arrived!

It was a place of many rich and varied sights!

More Views Of Lubbock

Today is the 50th Anniversary of the F5 tornado that devastated Lubbock-- I was there. I remember it well, what sort of day it was and what I was doing. I was living in the track of the tornado, and survived that night, amazingly, with minimal damage. Other were not so fortunate.

I should also note that COVID-19 cases in Russia are increasing at a very high rate, and that they will soon be number two in the world, behind the US. That does not surprise me at all. I expect Russia's infections to match our own and perhaps even overtake the US. Same kind of leadership. Same kind of personality cult. Same kind of results.

Cults of personality are always deadly.
