Poking Around Lubbock

Always, we find something interesting...

We have no idea why this marker is here, or what it signifies.

Of course, we found more ruins. Large amounts of asbestos line the walls of this particular ruin. Not a good thing.

It sits here exposed because it would cost a fortune to demolish this structure. Nobody wants to think about it. Pretend it is not there.

We didn't stay here very long!

I got my photos, and we moved on.

Just More Lubbock

More places that most people here would never see.

Light industry; mostly defunct, ruined, abandoned.

You see a lot of these grain silos-- I guess that's what they are. Grain elevators?

Klick klack!

In the foreground, behind the weeds, piles of concrete wait to be broken up and recycled.

A lot of weeds and a lot of concrete, from bridge supports and other sources. Most slabs had steel reinforcing rods.

And we drove on...
