Roaming Around Lubbock

The old parts of town are interesting, and not over-populated. That's where we like to go. This photo series begins on Erskine, north of TTU, and where it ends I am not sure.

We found an old house that seems to have been in use by party animals-- probably juvenile delinquents. Lots of drinking, and probably drugs as well.

We drove on, and found more of our favorite things, like furniture dumped at curbside, and junk cars, and weeds, and abandoned buildings.

What's behind this fence? See below!
It's a junkyard! I LIKE junkyards! I did not enter the property, I merely held my camera above the fence.
 And then we moved on...
Old Glory and ribbon wire-- when you see one, can the other be far away?

The Texicans have staked out this place, it seems...
 One picture tells the story...

"This junk is MINE!!" Don't mess with a Texican.

Many more pics to go! More explorations of Lubbock obscurities to come!

A Celebration In Slaton

We were there only long enough to eat BBQ sandwiches, and for me to take a few photos. It was very hot.

 That's it. That's all, folks.

Let's Finish Lorenzo, Texas

We'll take a last look.

We ran out of Lorenzo and had to turn around!

 Then we found more.
Seems like there was a fire, here.

 Bad trailer!
 Red house!
 You can see through it!

Lorenzo has a lot of fixer-uppers.

 Infrastructure!
??

I am not really sure the two houses above were in Lorenzo. I might have gotten some pics mixed up. But if they are not in Lorenzo, they might as well be.

And when we ran out of Lorenzo, again, we decided that we had had enough. Next time, I'll have a few photos from July 4th, 2016 in Slaton, Texas! Or, at least, I think that was the occasion. If it wasn't July 4th it might as well have been. But I do know that it was Slaton. I've fallen so far behind because I've taken so many pics, and have a lot of catching up to do. We don't take notes.
