I did a lot yesterday, enjoying the fine weather. I plan to do much more tomorrow. I've made some decisions about the shape of things this summer.
Chances for rain in the near future are not very impressive.
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

So much better than the last two week's worth of cold followed by gloom and slop. I enjoyed pottering about in my small land and making plans for summer.
For a while, at least, we are done with rain and have some warmer weather coming up. Very nice, in fact, and a great relief.
The slop is back and it's not warming up. Now the weather people say tomorrow. Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, etc. Tedious. No sun, no shine, and the dismal and rather cold crap continues.
The wet slop is mostly over. We got enough rain to recharge the playa lakes. It was just about right, I guess. Now we dry out, warm up, and so forth. Clouds stick around but that'll prevent radiation cooling at night so we stay above freezing.
Rain chances are good today, and overnight, and into tomorrow morning, but it is not clear how much rain we might actually get. But we do need the rain. And temperatures remain reasonable. A bit gloomy, but you can't have everything.
I figure I'll make an energy decision next month. NO options look good. This is a rip-off, pure and simple. Fuck the private sector. Give me public ownership of all municipal infrastructure. Let the private sector keep their greedy grabby hands off. But I'm afraid that battle has been lost. Texans are going to get screwed, and I think most of them will be too fucking stupid to realize it. Numb and dumb at both ends, so to speak.
But not out of the ordinary this time. No single digits, at least and each day warms above freezing. Improvements tomorrow.
