Getting married and combining households...

Busy, busy, busy, and more busy. The marriage ceremony was small and quiet and simple, which was what we wanted. The last week before the marriage was very stressful because we made a trip to my home town to see my mom and sister and a lot of relatives. They all love my wife! As soon as we got back to Lubbock we had to complete the job of moving my stuff into my wife's house. That stuff included my cat. And then I had to get all that stuff organized and set up to create my "office"/"workshop"/"computer room". In my last post I praised an AT&T sales rep, but that was premature. I was grossly misinformed. I set up my own computer's internet access with a cable service.

  1. Well, congratulations on your new marriage. I think things are always going to be a bit chaotic with these events. I guess you can try playing the few remaining telephone companies off against one another and maybe that will work. They are all pretty awful.

I would move to sprint and get some smartphones. The smartphones have wifi on them and sprint has unlimited bandwidth. The downside is that sprint coverage is not good in some areas. Mobile hotspot is extra but their are many apps that allow you to get around this. net10 has a good unlimited plan too, with no contract. I also like the Boost, Virgin and Tmobile no contract plans. Export your mailbox and address book if you can. You also might want to google republic wireless it is a hybrid plan and you will definitely need cable or dsl service. They are good friends of mine and good people.

  2. Thank you for the tips. I sure as heck won't go with AT&T again.
