We might even get some rain tomorrow. It is not clear how cold it will get this weekend. The NWS and the local forecasters don't quite agree, which isn't unusual.
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

Pretty Nice Weather Continues
We get some meager chances of rain on Wednesday and then a slight cooling for the weekend, but we remain ever so dry and the poor cotton farmers, already screwed by tariffs, will have a very low soil moisture to deal with if this paucity of rain continues. I think a lot of cotton farmers are going to go under this year. I would not mind another spurt of rapture frenzy-- it would provide some comic relief. Otherwise, life goes on until it doesn't. I realized yesterday that the UAP I spotted in the early morning a while back was on a heading that would take it to what was once Reese AFB, now a technology center and currently doing work for the DOD on top secret advanced UAS technology. So if UAPs start to appear in the skies above Lubbock, it would certainly be no surprise.
Lately I have had phenomenological descriptor spaces on my mind, especially those that contain commuting and non-commuting algebras. I must be bored.

Weather Still Very Good
Our northers continue to be mild and temps continue to run above average, but rain chances continue to be very low. We sure do need rain.

Back To The Warm
Temps way above average again, and rain chances by mid-week but today we might "enjoy" the first duster of 2026. Spring this year might be defined by choking dust if we don't start getting the rain. I did not watch the game. It was a cable thing and I don't do cable. Cable is money down the toilet. Free TV via antenna or nothing at all. Besides, tech lost, going scoreless. But they had a good year. So mild this morning, I had coffee on the patio at 05:30 and I was comfortable in a t-shirt and sweat pants. I was rewarded with a UAP! Two very bright white lights with a rather narrow angular separation, moving in unison and blinking in unison, moving a surprising distance between blinks, east to west, until they vanished over the house. No sound. Perfectly silent. They appeared rather suddenly at about forty degrees above the horizon in the east. What a fine way to start the day! Something uncanny right out of the box!
Plus, I think there is a high probability that the orange god will be history before the end of this year. Yes, I think he will fall victim to his many bad habits-- cumulative damage to brain and body.
