Torrents Of Rain!

But very isolated. I got one of those torrents night before last and another one yesterday afternoon for a total of four inches. But mostly in my neck of the woods, and not much elsewhere. It could happen again! Cool enough this morning, even with triple digits in the forecast for me to do many many things outdoors. Well pleased was I, to accomplish so much and even to have a bright idea that allowed me to solve a problem with negligible cost and effort. A bonus!

Heat Relief And Rain

Today and tomorrow mere seasonal temperatures and last night I got heavy rain. If there was any thunder or lightening I slept right through it. Nice to wake up to cool temps and everything soaking wet! I did a lot of work outside yesterday, taking advantage of the comfortable temps.

Tonight could be a repeat of last night!

Heat Relief

Heat relief is coming soon for us, and the weekend will be very nice, better than it has been in several weeks. After that, another round of hot stuff. It's that time of year.

I expect to get a lot accomplished over the weekend.

Cranky In My Old Age

I believe we have a right to become cranky as we grow older. We've learned more, ideally, and we become disillusioned and experience more and more disgust with life's imperfections and our own limitations. It becomes very clear that in an ideal universe there would be no life. Organisms are sad and shoddy constructs-- victims one and all, and if the universe is a simulation it is the product of a malicious halfwit. This much is perfectly clear. If only one could find a way to initiate false vacuum decay!

Still Working Outside

I had a great idea last evening so just after sunset I implemented it, and this morning just after sunrise I made use of last evening's innovation. This will be a major convenience and I used things I already had that were just sitting in the garage gathering dust. I'm going to buy some new tools this weekend so I can take full advantage. It won't take much. I look out of the window in this office room and I see a wall of greenery, a jungle. I like that very much. I have one orderly and civilized garden for the passerby to see, and hidden away, for my pleasure, a jungle. If I hadn't gone to the trouble of making paths I wouldn't be able to walk three feet through that jungle without a machete. I have swarms of bees in that jungle but I've never been stung. I've seen a possum and even a cute little skunk out there. All creatures are welcome except the two-legged variety and if I saw one of those things in that space I'd be well within my rights to kill it. And if I killed it I would do it with considerable pleasure. I've been arming up for the MAGA zombie apocalypse. HAHA! No, not really...

That stuff above is Horse Nettle, a weed, and not a good one, but what the heck. It's nature. Let it grow.
