Really in decline now. Pretty much end of season for sunflowers but the heat and drought didn't help.
Maybe it'll be less dry next year.
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

Not much of a life.
Drink deeply, of that healing stream!
And that's the end of this car wash series. Next, more garden and then a lot more Lubbock.
Got Lubbock?
In the car wash, so they say, you can be what you do and do what you be. Do be do be do. This car wash got no car, but does that matter? Got wash? Got car? No, and no.
In that old car wash, you can scrub yourself clean, walk on water, like a crazy dream. Swirling brush gonna flay your skin, scrape you down and make you thin. Hot wax gonna spray, burn you up and make you pray. In the car wash. In the car wash.
Smell the fragrance. Breathe the vacuum.
you can get really clean
just like in your dream
of the CAR WASH!
Oh, in the CAR WASH
you can do your thing,
you can smell the aroma
and vacuum too,
in the CAR WASH!
In the CAR WASH
anything goes,
you can wear
your rubber hose,
your can dab your mitts
with a moist towel-ITTE--
in the CAR WASH
of your DREAMS!
It's the CAR WASH! Oooobie Dooobie Dooooobie Doooo. Smell the fragrance! Breathe the vacuum!
Once upon a time, maybe, many cars there, all getting sprayed, hosed, waxed, washed, rinsed. Now, all dead. All gone, the little ones. And the big ones. The old ones. The new ones. The sporty ones. The sober ones.
