Into The Heat!

But humidity is low and we still have breezy conditions. And the mornings remain quite cool and comfortable, so I have at least two hours to work outdoors when I must, before the heat is excessive. I get out of bed early, at four, DST, but I don't submit to the DST idiocy, so for me it's five when I rise. Early to bed and early to rise has been my routine for many years. It works! I wish I could have done that for all of my life. But it simply wasn't possible back in the dark ages.

Coffee on the patio was very enjoyable this morning. I look forward to wine on the patio this evening.

Torrents Of Rain!

But very isolated. I got one of those torrents night before last and another one yesterday afternoon for a total of four inches. But mostly in my neck of the woods, and not much elsewhere. It could happen again! Cool enough this morning, even with triple digits in the forecast for me to do many many things outdoors. Well pleased was I, to accomplish so much and even to have a bright idea that allowed me to solve a problem with negligible cost and effort. A bonus!

Heat Relief And Rain

Today and tomorrow mere seasonal temperatures and last night I got heavy rain. If there was any thunder or lightening I slept right through it. Nice to wake up to cool temps and everything soaking wet! I did a lot of work outside yesterday, taking advantage of the comfortable temps.

Tonight could be a repeat of last night!

Heat Relief

Heat relief is coming soon for us, and the weekend will be very nice, better than it has been in several weeks. After that, another round of hot stuff. It's that time of year.

I expect to get a lot accomplished over the weekend.

Cranky In My Old Age

I believe we have a right to become cranky as we grow older. We've learned more, ideally, and we become disillusioned and experience more and more disgust with life's imperfections and our own limitations. It becomes very clear that in an ideal universe there would be no life. Organisms are sad and shoddy constructs-- victims one and all, and if the universe is a simulation it is the product of a malicious halfwit. This much is perfectly clear. If only one could find a way to initiate false vacuum decay!
