Cool Mornings Invite Work

 Yesterday morning it was very nice so I worked outdoors. And yet, it was a record high of 104 F, beating the old record of 99 F set on that date in 2012. And again, this morning, it was cool with a refreshing breeze and I got a lot more done but the forecast calls for yet another record high. And then, perhaps, a drastic change. I could do with a drastic change. Humans have certainly screwed up the planetary weather machine, and there will be a high price in human life, sooner than most think. Homo Sapiens is clever, among the anthropoid apes, but still, there is too much ape behavior. You can put the brains in the monkey, but you can't get the monkey out of the brains, it seems. But evolution is a slap-dash and short-sighted mechanism, so what else can you expect?

I ran across a "Padre Piehole" or something like that, and this person, if he actually exists, has made a prophecy! Three days of profound planetary darkness, in September 2023! Don't hold your breath. When this stupid event fails to take place the guy's follower's will either claim that it actually happened, but invisibly, or they will move the goalposts. SOP. Should have kept his pie hole shut. I have no patience at all with this sort of stupid crap. 

Yet Another Record High

 This string of broken records is like a broken record. Ha. Not funny. Global warming is a fact, but you can always find some senile putz/toady who will deny it. Ideology has nothing to do with it-- global warming, caused by human activity, is a FACT. And it WILL get hotter, and hotter, and hotter... and I find it impossible to find even a scrap of sympathy for Homo Sap. Failed species are a dime a dozen, and humanity is headed for the scrap heap. Unfortunately we'll take a lot of other species down with us. A vulture is a far finer creature than the typical human. I'm in one of those moods this morning. It's the heat, Pete. 

At least, when humanity takes its agonizing pratfall, their worthless "gods" will die as well. 

Another Record High

 Cool morning today, though. More record highs on tap for the next few days. Rough summer.

 Relief, maybe, possible early next week, but I won't count on it. 

Record Heat

 Maybe record heat here, at least for a week, and no rain. It looks like the neo-nazi banner is the new religion among the country's white trash misfits. The sooner the orange one has a massive coronary the better. Losers, all of them. Worthless. And life, such as it is, goes on. I will definitely be ordering that GNOSTIC BIBLE-- it's just a compendium of gnostic writings and it's bound to be interesting. It's a kind of theism that fits the data, as opposed to the "big 3", and none of that sort of theism fits the data, at all, in any degree. Gotta get through this hot week. Someday the heat will lose it's grip-- until next year, and I expect it to get very bad very quickly, as global warming moves into an exponential phase. 

I pity the children. They are facing a horrible future, and many won't be living very long. It's good to be old. It's good to be old with no hostages to fate.
