Hot but it felt great until another norther blew in. Windy and cool after that. One damned norther after another.
I've got a lot to do today.
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

At this time of year it's a wild ride on the seasonal roller coaster of temperature swings. Maybe a high of 90 F today. After a bleak wintery day just 48 hours ago! It's only in the forties right now. But it seems that the first week of May will be really almost perfect, except for the complete absence of rain. So dry. Your antiperspirant should be so dry.
The cold this morning was obscene for the time of year. Wind down at least. It didn't freeze but got close to it. Maybe this is the last of wintery weather. Yesterday was pretty much cold and bleak and windy garbage. Plenty of sunshine to start today. Will the northers finally bugger off?
You'd think so, judging by today's weather. One more slap in the face. It'll be close to freezing tomorrow morning, and then a very rapid warm up and one can hope that this will be the last cold spell until-- October. Some rain is possible, remotely. I'll believe that when I see it. Maybe a light, cold, drizzle. Windy today, of course. Bleak. Hey, blowing dust would be the icing on this "cake".
It's going to be rather chilly tomorrow, and windy, of course. Maybe this will be the last of the cold fronts. Very tired of temps in the forties to start the day. It just won't warm up and stay warm, just as it just won't rain. Some areas did get rain recently but they were also smashed by hail and 90 mph winds. Par for the course. I know people are moving to Lubbock but I don't understand why. The Tax office is blood thirsty, and out to screw you to the wall, the climate sucks, and you'll be eating dirt six months out of the year. Lubbock, in my considered opinion, is a crappy place to live. If I wasn't already here, and established here, with too many memories and connections to move, and I hate moving anyway-- you wouldn't still see me in this thing. Happiness is Lubbock in your rearview mirror. They said that years ago and it is still true. It's tolerable if you aren't very social, and tough as nails. Otherwise...
