Brown skies and blowing dust yesterday and probably again today, and a definite return of winter garbage tomorrow, but at least sunny. After that the extended forecast looks quite good except for the absence of rain. Drought is now a way of life here. I decided to re-read Philip K. Dick's "The Transmigration of Timothy Archer" and I appreciate it much more now, having learned much more, and it was nice to be reminded of Bishop James Pike. I ordered some books on Amazon and now must see how accurate/inaccurate Dick's character's comments were, on the subject of certain Dead Sea documents, in particular what is referred to today as the Damascus Document. Dick calls it the Zadokite document. Fascinating to examine the basis for what most people in the USA profess to believe. Actually, most people don't know squat, being content to accept the canonical lies, distortions, and self-serving bullshit they get from the pulpit. Critical thinking? Not even remotely. Blissful ignorance? You bet. More books needed and I sure hope I'll have time to read them all. So many books! So much to learn! So much to ENJOY! Meanwhile...
