It's always time for that.
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

Things Very Chaotic
But another update might be in order, and one can hope for the best.
A Little More Rain
A shower last evening surprised me pleasantly. 71F this morning. Hot coffee for a change rather than iced. I've decided to make changes to my daily routine, adding something that will pay huge dividends. I can do this now that the worst of Covid seems to be over, and, I have all the vaccinations and boosters. It'll be one hour per day 5 days per week, and will not displace anything I already do. It just fills a blank spot. And it represents a return to the past, and that is always good.

The Seasonal Roller Coaster
That seasonal roller coaster seems to be getting an early start. Rain and mild temps will be followed by dry and hot conditions and then a period of even milder temps and better rain chances. This morning 70 F and drier air. Meanwhile Asshole Abbot has made himself dictator of the Texas power grid. And he's a moron and a monster of greed and self-glorification. Nobody wants to be CEO of ERCOT. Nobody can get any info on the state of the power grid. Asshole Abbot has it all under total lockdown. Nobody wants to be Abbot's puppet, at least nobody with any self respect or actual competence. The majority of Texans voted that shithead into office, which just goes to show...
That, above, is what passes for "scenery" in this part of Texas. Actually, I like that. Nice and flat. I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles...

Finally Rain
It was a fairly substantial rain at last. More chances today and temperatures continue to moderate and rain chances, though slight, remain in the forecast. This is an August pattern I am familiar with, but it's been absent in the last few years. I used to speak of such events as bringing a "hint of Fall". Nice to have that again.
I don't isolate myself from everyone, not at all. Just the nut cases and they are usually obvious after an exchange of only a few words. They can go their way and I'll go mine.
On the road is the theme for the day. I don't see the point of being on the road anymore.
