Common Dementias

 Try "National Identity" dementia and "Race/Ethnicity" dementia. Both are common in the USA. And neither nationality nor "race" mean shit. Meanwhile, I continue to do my thing with a harvest of new pics, and when they are all done I'll interrupt the current stroll through the past and post them, a few at a time. By the way, religious affiliation doesn't mean shit either. 

It's amazing that so many of the things people think of as meaningful don't amount to a pile of crap. At least, that's how it works in MY world. And MY world is sane. YOUR world might be batshit crazy. But mine isn't. 

Working On New Pics

 There are so many, it will take a lot of work. I avoid people as much as possible because most people are certifiable. So they generally have to be humored when interacting. And that's not much fun. Life for an animal with humanoid cognitive capacity is pretty much untenable. That is the core existential dilemma, and it makes for a lot of crazy. I run across a lot of people with various forms of religious dementia, like "Bible Study Derangement Syndrome". That's a common one in the USA. People go crazy trying to "make sense of things". People have a nightmarish idea, and then they take that idea seriously, and think it's "real" and then there is fear, and then they engage in bizarre ritual activity to mitigate that fear, and the descent to madness is swift and brutal. Some people seem more susceptible than others. But those who are very susceptible and very crazy are a danger to themselves and others. The patterns are common in human history, in human society. I would prefer not to be caught up in that sort of thing. 

It DID Rain!

 But not a lot. Even so, a good evening was had by all. It just might do it again today, and another nice evening will be had by all.

 But very humid. Surely it will rain! Somewhere. Probably not here. 

In Lubbock it is very easy to avoid crowds. That's one of the very few good things this city has going for it. 

Very Pleasant Temperatures

 Relief from the recent heat wave is greatly appreciated. It's partly sunny today and almost cool. 

It's a real mixed bag this grand and glorious morning. Grand and glorious, but only in terms of the weather. And only in terms of the weather right here and right now.
