But it's that time of year. This week might see some relief and maybe even a little more rain!
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

Yes, A Holiday Weekend
I'm not too keen on holiday weekends, myself, except Labor Day. Labor Day is a good one. The rest I can do without. Change them to something else. This one is going to be a scorcher.
Have you noticed? The PU is not a congenial place for life of any kind. The PU stinks. That should put things in perspective.

Heating Up And Drying Out
That's what they say, riding a sort of meteorology roller coaster. It'll be a hot and dry Memorial Day Weekend. I would not travel anywhere on such a holiday under any circumstances. No way. When everyone is on holiday and everyone wants to go somewhere, that's the time to stay home. I've never been able to understand travel mania. Let's go someplace! What?? WHY??
This seems like a good time to do sunflowers again.

A Holiday Weekend
Some call it "Mumorial Day" but I never see any mums. Maybe they mean moms? And some say "Marmoreal Day" but I have yet to see any marmosets at play, with little tin drums and tiny horns. For lots of Texans it's going to be another fine time to celebrate-- something. I wonder what one SHOULD celebrate. What will Texans celebrate? I don't feel much like YIPPEE, frankly. Make no mistake: many WILL be celebrating. Maybe celebrating their 2nd Amendment rights?? But let's not go down that rathole. Too many rats down there, and a lot of them have rabies.
As usual, my preference is to be where no people are. Too many of them have rabies.

More Wild Weather
But it was exactly what we needed. I'd like to see more of this in July, right around the 4th. Flood it out. Drown it.
