Lubbock Lubbock

 Covid in Lubbock rolls on. It would be a very good idea to shut down the bars, AND the churches. These are two places where you are very likely to be infected, or to pass an infection to others. That would be fair, and even-handed. But I think most politicians realize that, as dangerous as it might be to get between a bar hopper and a drink (or a prospective pickup), it is even more dangerous to try to come between a pastor and the collection plate. The bigger the church, the greater the greed. It's a sad fact. Even though such measures would be temporary, to bring the hospitalization rate to a manageable number, the hue and cry would be too great. Wedding extravaganzas are another bad idea. Public gatherings of any kind are simply a bad idea at this time. One thing for sure, Covid is not going away. We aren't "turning a corner". It's more like falling off a cliff. So let's look at what ought to be safe places in this great town.

Covid should really be viewed as a natural disaster. It IS a natural disaster, but instead of being a sudden event, like an earthquake, a tsunami, or an asteroid strike, it is unfolding slowly and insidiously. But it is perfectly natural, for all of that.

That Lubbock

 Five days with hospitalization rates above 15% and now approaching 20%. What a town! It should be in lockdown. Hell, it should be in a wire cage. Lubbock is a very CONSERVATIVE town. That explains a LOT.

Looking at Lubbock should be safe enough.

A Quiet Place In Lubbock

 Hitting 60,000 new US Covid cases in one day again. That simply can't be. Didn't Dan Patrick assure us that would never happen? Lubbock has so many cases it ought to be in lockdown mode but the assholes on the city council are trying to wriggle around the mandate. One thing this virus is doing very well is proving how bloody incompetent conservatives are, and how disconnected from reality conservative "thought" is. In fact "conservative thought" is another oxymoron.

A Peaceful Place In Lubbock

There are lots of peaceful places in Lubbock. There are no people there. That helps a lot.

 Sometimes you see evidence that people HAVE been there. That's where all the trash comes from.

Stuff like this shows you that people are sometimes present. Or, were present, once. I don't know whether any of this stuff is still being used. Everything looked pretty dead.

This morning I read that 50% of tRump's supporters have bought into the Q-Inane bullshit. That means that 50% of the trumptards need anti-psychotic meds. I would have thought that ALL of them need to be medicated. The malicious individual who started this stupid conspiracy most likely did it to scare the monkeys, rattle their cages. No doubt, he or she or it has complete contempt for the people who've bought into this stuff. Undoubtedly, they are being laughed at by the creator of Q-Inane. Silly monkeys! Watch them hurl shit at each other! Ha. Ha.

It's really not funny at all. Only to the malicious creature who started it.
