So now, I am finally getting close to Wurstfest traffic entering Landa Park.
Emerging from behind the Catholic church...
And here we are. This is as close as I wanted to get.
This underpass enters onto an old two lane bridge, and just beyond that is the Wurstfest entrance. See all the traffic?
That was enough for me. I turned around and walked back. And I'll finish New Braunfels 2019 next time.
I'm getting a lot of mileage out of this visit to New Braunfels. I continued my walk toward a Wurstfest entrance and parking area, taking advantage of nice weather.
I got a lot of pics of that historic old Catholic church.
Finally, I was behind it. More next time. Getting close to the WURSTFEST!!
So the next day I took advantage of greatly improved weather and walked downtown again, this time making for the Wurstfest entrance and some parking spots. Crowds were much improved.
Nice and sunny this time!
Plenty of beer joints and bars and tourist traps.
This historic Catholic Church is a familiar sight.
I tried to peer into the associated parochial school.
I walked right through the church parking lot.
Gothic. It used to be Gothic on the inside but years ago it was converted into something more like a warehouse. Very uninspiring.
Old.
This is where the priests lived. I guess they still do. If you can call that a life. I don't.
We are not far from the entrance to the Wurstfest!
Today I'm going to finish that neat junkyard or antique collection or whatever it is.
It's all kinds of stuff.
Where it comes from and where it goes I just don't know. I don't even know what some of this stuff is.
Some of it might be industrial.
A lot of it you could sit on, or sit in. The next day, the weather was much better and I headed off in the direction of the WURSTFEST.
