More New Braunfels 2018

We will continue where we left off last time...

This goes back many, many, years. At one time it was not so close to a major highway. There WAS no major highway. This graveyard was isolated, in the country.

I tried not to get any modern stuff in the background. We were assaulted by traffic noise while we explored this area. 

All the names here are Germanic. Some Scandinavian, I think.

In some cases the inscriptions are entirely eroded away.

We found a young victim of a stupid, despicable, senseless slaughter-- WWI. Of course, all wars are foul. "Just war" is an oxymoron, a sick joke. 

Rest in peace, everybody. We've finished with this cemetery, and and we will examine another one next time, and that is where the STRANGE THING took place.

We continue.

Some remodeling is going on, in anticipation of a large project downtown that most people are calling stupid. 

I don't live there, so I guess I have no say in the matter.

Some things do not change.

Some things SHOULD not change.

Now we make a drastic change, and visit an old graveyard.  We will visit TWO. I will have something amazing to report...

So peaceful. Something amazing is coming up... and I have photographic evidence, and my own experience to relate.
