Examining O'Donnell

We're taking a close look.

The Heritage Museum now houses the Dan Blocker collection. It was staffed by a volunteer that day, even though it was Sunday. We were surprised the museum was open.
The first "apparition"-- is it a hat??

The grim reaper's implement-- somehow appropriate?

 Entertainment, from the old days...
No more circus, no more "rodeo grounds"...

I vaguely remember the movie referenced here... odd cast.

O'Donnell

Let's continue with O'Donnell...

There was once a Dan Blocker museum, but it has merged with the municipal museum.

Again, we have the impression of a town that barely manages to survive, a community on the verge of extinction, despite the schools. Can you really expect the best and brightest to try to make a life here?

More O'Donnell

The schools here are getting students from Tahoka and Lamesa. It seems that many parents do not like the schools in Tahoka and Lamesa...
 T

O'Donnell has its share of tumble down houses...

You can't forget that this is an area where cotton is still king.

Time To Look At O'Donnell

We found another small town in decline, except for the schools. The school system is thriving and there is a big construction project.

Many more pics of O'Donnell are on the way.
