These cars were an unexpected find!
It must have been a club out for a spin, but I don't know whether it is based in Brownfield or not.
Coming up, some views of a local Flea Market, taken during a Labor Day sell-a-thon. And after that, a look at ANTON, a town we have not visited before. We took a lot of photos in ANTON!
For those who like classic cars, there's a treat at the end of my Brownfield survey.
There's still a lot of these ruins, too.
It seems that a Thunderbird Club was having a meeting in Brownfield, and so I photographed their cars in the parking lot of a Subway. Next blog entry will be nothing but old Thunderbirds.
More Brownfield, examined closely...
There's a weed problem in Brownfield, but also in every other town we've visited. Lubbock can't keep up with the weeds, either.
We saw plenty of abandoned buildings and not much new construction.
When you look closely at these towns, you find that there is an enormous amount to look at.
Old houses are great!
There's more Brownfield yet to see!
We are taking a closer look this time than the last...
Interestingly enough, now Brownfield seems to have one of those mysterious "Black Tower" installations!
There are also plenty of abandoned building in Brownfield, just rotting away in the sun and wind and rain-- occasional rain.
