SO much junk!

We could have explored more but it is very overgrown with tall weeds. Who could know what hazards lurked on this property? We felt uncomfortable as it was. I wonder what the groundwater is like near this site?

I hope no one is drinking from a well near here.

We have a little bit more to go with this before we move on to something completely different.

Delving Deeper Into The Muck

It gets worse as you get deeper into it.

This area is where we wished we had hazmat suits-- there's a black liquid spilled all over the floor here. We were careful not to get any of that on us. We don't understand why nothing has been done to clean up this foulness. This place is wide open-- access is easy. I imagine kids playing in this filth. We're going to show you more of this festering sore in Lubbock County.

Getting Deeper Into the Waste Zone

We found our first evidence of garbage/junk.

 Is it RUSTIC?

 Or is it TOXIC??

To our eyes it looked pretty toxic. But you have yet to see the worst.

THE DUMP!

Yes, we have arrived at the dump. If memory serves, and it rarely serves very well these days, this was once a private sector recycling center. It was a disaster. It seems now to be in some sort of legal limbo. This ground is in need of clean-up. It doesn't look very bad until you get close. And we are going to get close. Meanwhile, upon superficial examination...

It looks a lot like any other ruin or relic in Lubbock County.

When we did our investigations, in early July of 2015, access was unrestricted and there were no warning notices of any kind.
