Leaving The Auto Graveyard

But it was a great place to visit!

In the photo above, you can see the place where we found these cars. It's on 114th Street, east. You can't miss it. Visit them. Buy something. Buy these old Cadillacs and restore them!

More Old Cars!

It was the Fourth Of July, and hot as hell's bells but it was fun photographing these old cars! I just hate the idea of these old classics rusting away. Somebody please restore them! Bring them back to their lurid former glory!

Old Cars For The People, Yes

Yes, more old cars.

This is really a pretty good collection.

Iconic American images, I think.

Rusting Hulks

These relics are ripe for restoration, but will anyone do it? Or will they rust away?

Tailfins never got any better than this...

I was glad I had the Nikon with me when we found these!

Leaving The Ruins

We got our fill of these ruins, but shortly found a Cadillac graveyard. We got permission to go on the grounds and take pictures. There were cars there other than old Caddys as well.

This transmission shop was located on the corner of Avenue Q and 19th for many years, until LISD finally harassed them into moving out on 98th Street. There is nothing at the old location anymore but a parking lot for LISD administrative offices. A more political and inefficient and top-heavy school system you would be hard-pressed to find. LISD pretty much sucks.
Old cars!

There are many more old cars to come...
