My wife and I drove to Slaton to check an estate sale. Not much at the sale but we did some sight seeing and ate at a popular BBQ joint, then got dessert at a well-known local bakery. I took photos with my cell phone. Next time we go, we'll have both of our cameras. On the way out of town we stopped at the Slaton aviation museum and this time they were open. We had a guided tour by a knowledgeable and friendly guy with a real interest in aviation and aviation history. I'll be posting the photos I took there. Limited by my cell phone camera, I could not do any indoor stuff. The weather was beautiful, by the way.
This blog is an ARTISTIC regional photo journal. I focus on mundane scenes. ANY AND ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE ARE MY OPINONS ONLY! I OFFER NOTHING WHATSOEVER AS A STATEMENT OF FACT! The photographs are offered as ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ONLY! They are not representative of anything other than themselves. Most of the places mentioned here have surely changed substantially since they were visited. Check my list of recommended sites at the bottom of this blog!

Interrupting Photo Series
Overton South is being replaced, temporarily, by some new photos taken this past weekend with my cellphone. You will see scenes of destruction, the wrecking ball kind, as the 18th & K building, former home of the Doll House Cafe is destroyed to make room for something new, like, maybe, a parking lot...
Goodbye, 18th and K Building. My wife and I have good memories of this place.
