These are the last photos in this group, taken in that scary place on a hill--- I'm not sure about telling where it is. It just might not be wise, for a variety of reasons.
If you've lived in Lubbock a long time you probably know where this is, and might have wondered why it hasn't been torn down long ago.
These are all from the same sinister location.
I am not suggesting that all of Lubbock is like this. Only the interesting parts...

To me, some of these places seem sinister.
This is a mix of black and white and color, and it features scenes anyone can see in this city if they know where and how to look. There are many photos so they will appear in installments over the course of several days. For some reason, I feel inclined to title this series "Gates Of Hell", but that is only because of the impressions some of these pictures create in me. I'm not going to go that far...

Before I put up a new series of LUBBOCK pics I offer this photo of some of the very last of our home-grown tomatoes. We had six plants and had so many this past summer I ended up pickling a lot of them. We have several jars of pickled green tomatoes, still.
